Five components of social design: A unified framework to support research and practice

Although the term social design is being widely adopted around world, conceptual clarity still lacking. The way understood and executed can vary greatly. Without a shared foundation, knowledge exchange development are restricted, so professionalisation of practice. This paper brings forward framework that unites all an overarching objective to foster common good but argues activities do may be driven by different values focus on outcomes. We identify five components design: (1) care-driven for wellbeing underprivileged people, (2) responsiveness-driven governance, (3) political progress-driven empowered citizens, (4) capital-driven beneficial communities, and, (5) resilience-driven sustainable future systems. describe how helps explain, discuss systematically study design.
